Distinguishing Users, UserGroups and Customers
Is there a MU CS-cart walk through for clients and customers?
I am almost ready to launch but am apprehensive because of the permissions and wondering how to distinguish between the groups.
I added a customer and could not figure out if he was on the same level as me. I don’t want people poking around or having access to areas where I don’t want them to be.
Thanks for your help,

Hello roadmap,
I suggest that you should follow the “Creation of a new administrator user group” article of our Knowledge base in order to learn how to create user groups with different privileges: [url]CS-Cart Documentation — CS-Cart 4.15.x documentation

There is neither a “Suppliers link in the menu on the right,” or a “Suppliers addon,” for EITHER Version.
There has got to be a better way to make this happen.

#1 - What are recommended permissions for Vendors, Suppliers, Administrators and Customers?
#2 - Is there a place in the forums that talks about this?
up…
Hello roadmap,
As far as I understand, you use CS-Cart Multi-Vendor Edition. Note that there is no “Suppliers” functionality in this edition.
Also note that it is not possible to manage privileges of suppliers and customers in a standard CS-Cart installation as long as they did not have access to the administration panel of a store. A vendor has his/her own static privileges and it is impossible to set new privileges for a vendor's account using standard CS-Cart functionality.
As regards administrator's accounts, it is up to you to decide what privileges you can give them.

Pavel -
Here are the Permission Settings that I have set for the CS-cart.
If you would look at them and let me know if I am excluding any particular group that would very helpful.

HERE is the PDF File I tried to upload.
It is a list of permissions for CS-cart in a PDF format.
What I need to know is - have I left myself open to attack for my competition??
Am I vulnerable to others with these permissions?
Thanks
brian

Thank you for the reply, Brian.
Unfortunately, you cannot set up privileges for the suppliers or vendors via the administration panel of your store, so that is why your request is not clear enough to us.
Please clarify it in more details.

Anastasiya, I am afraid your response to me doesn't make sense.
As clearly as I can, I need to understand how to get this website up and running.
I created four user groups, an Administrator User Group, a Suppliers User Group, a Vendor User Group, and a Customer User Group, and I thought I needed to do that according to what I was reading in the Manual.
Is that not correct?
Brian
Let me also ask, what do I need to do to get the site up and running and operational?
If I was going to get help setting it up from you guys, how much would that cost me?
I already sent an email to your customization request and never heard back from anyone.
I want to open the site up for business but I am not understanding how to go about doing that.
Your manual doesn't have a checklist, or directions… it just information on CS Cart.
Thanks,
Brian
Are there no “Instructions” for people to upload their items?
Forgive me, but it is not obvious to me what they should do.
If someone has already applied for a vendors account… do they also need to “register” as a customer too?
There should be some sort of documentation shouldn't there??
