Dispatch Link To New Location

Hi

I am realy strugling to understand how to link to a new location. can someone please help.



I have setup a new location in the main layout called

[list]

[]dispatch is set to custom and test is filled into the right hand field

[]The page name is test

[]The page title is test

[]The location id in the url is 58

[/list]

can someone please help me with the dispatch URL to link to this location.

It means that this location will be displayed for the following pages



http://domain.com/index.php?dispatch=test.search
http://domain.com/index.php?dispatch=test.view

Hi eComLabs

Unfortunitly I an still lost, If I put any of the above into the address bar. I just get a 404 page not found.



Maybe I am just not understanding this at all. I will explain what I need to do and maybe there is a better way of doing it…



I need to setup five spicific pages within my site that will be spicific product overview page. These will act as entry pages to the site from links on facebook pages other merchants sites, who might sell that spicific product but not the others.

I thought by setting up a location and linking directly to it. I would be able to choose the content to show on that page.



Can you enlighten me.

You get 404 because my examples are not part of the clean CS-Cart installation. Please provide us with more details about the content of new pages so that we can find a solution for you.

Thank you for your reply, I achieved what I wanted to do with the pages.

By addind the blocks I needed to disply into the PAGES Location and then just enabling them in the layout of a new page I created and using the SEO link to the page.

But I still have no idea how to make a page use a new location.

OK. On the Pages location settings page you can find the Pages tab:

Just create another location for the pages.view dispatch and specify pages A, B, C for the default location and pages D, E, F for the new one on the Pages tab. Please let me know if it is not clear
