For a B2B site, I want to show only products in category view.
Anybody know of an easy way to disable linking to product detail pages?

Unfortunately, there is no way to disable these links from the admin panel. You should edit the following files and delete links from them:
design/themes/THEME/templates/views/products/components/product_icon.tpl
design/themes/THEME/templates/common/product_data.tpl
