Direct Customer-To-Vendor Payments

Will customers have to pay the vendors one after the other or is it going to be a regular checkout experience?

Will customers have to pay the vendors one after the other or is it going to be a regular checkout experience?

With Direct Customer-to-Vendor Payments it's "paying one vendor after another". That's because every vendor can have own payment methods, which don't necessarily have to be the same. So, the add-on helps when you don't want to distribute money among vendors. Paying you your share becomes vendors' concern, and that process can be organized via the built-in Vendor Debt Payout add-on.

If you're looking for a regular checkout experience and still want to have the money go directly to vendors, you'll need to use a specialized payment methods for marketplaces instead. Right now there're two such methods (in the form of built-in add-ons): PayPal Adaptive Payments and Stripe Connect.

The drawback of marketplace payment methods is that your vendors will need an account with the corresponding provider, whereas with Direct Customer-to-Vendor Payments + Vendor Debt Payout you don't depend on any particular provider (such as PayPal or Stripe) and can work even with the payment methods and providers that don't offer tools for marketplaces.

One by one

just collect the payment yourself and payout to vendors once weekly or monthly

Thanks Guys, got it now!

Hello,

Is it possible to have some vendors with their own payment methods while others utilise the multivendor platform method. For example, few vendors wants their own Cash on Delivery but wants to use our payment gateway, while others wants us to collect the payment whether customers choose a C.O.D or a card payment method.
