Is it possible in MV 4.2 to only allow your vendors to sell digital products?
Can someone also help me understand the benefits of selecting ‘Disable Shipping’ in the admin settings? I am not sure exactly sure what this does.

There is no such ability in default version of MV 4.2.1

It just disables all shipping functionality. Customer don't choose shipping method in storefront at all.
Thanks for your reply. Even though it 'disables all shipping functionality', my customers will still see 'Step 3' of the checkout process which deals with Shipping Information, correct?
Will my vendors still be able to set 'flat rate' shipping prices for their items and the checkout system add that amount to the customer total?

Hello,
Shipping freight in the product options is also a part of the shipping functionality. When the Disable shipping setting is enabled, there is no way to apply shipping cost. There will be the third step at checkout with the “No shipping required” message.

You can make the Downloadable option always checked and hide it from vendors. Small template code modifications are required.
