determine active locations in main.tpl

I need a way to determine which locations are being used in main.tpl. Does anyone know what code would tell me “we have blocks in the left column”, “we have blocks in the central column”, “we have blocks in the right column”, etc?

Your blocks are determined in:



skins/your-skin/customer/blocks/locations



Here you’ll see the various locations.
