Hi All,



What size are people's databases?



I have about 1000 products and maybe 1800 customer accounts but my database is already at 41mb, this seems excessively large to me but I just wanted to see if others were using similar sizes db's…

[/quote]The size of your db depends from another db records as well, not just the customers and products. But an example of a database size with:



users = 540

products = 459



11.4 MB

mine is 120mb thats with my stats cleared



Check your statistcs and logs



admin stats, clear stats,



admin logs if you want to clear some logs

You can go to Database | Maintenance | Optimize Database

to reduce some of the size.



But 41MB is tiny. Some of my Ultimate stores are pushing close to 500MB.

Great thanks for the replies guys.



I optimised database just before posting and saved 2mb, I don’t really want to clear stats just yet as there is only a couple of weeks data in there as I only upgraded recently and want to keep an eye on the stats for a while.



Just nice to have confirmation that it’s within the “norm” :)

yeah, keep your eye on the stats, it really bulks up the DB
