Nope.
What are you trying to do with the data feeds addon? If you’re only trying to update Google Merchant, why not use the Google Base (now Google Merchant) export?
I’m trying to use the Data Feed addon to create my Google Merchant feed.
The automated Google Merchant feed done by the cs-cart system does not have enough options.
Google is now demanding that you have a product code, product id, and upc or isbn for every product in the export.
This can only be done using the Data Feed addon. I’ve got everything done except the product id issue as mentioned before.
Same trouble here
Google’s requirements changed and they now require a unique product identifier as well as the product id field (id)
My products do not have a unique identifier so I need the data feed to be able to export the product_id field twice, once for the id field and a second one for a field named mpn, that’s the only way to get round it
Google knows that not all products have unique identifiers so instead you can submit a file with an mpn field (manufacturers part number) but it MUST also contain a brand field
The problem is that if you map the product_id field to both the id and mpn fields it only exports one of them, meaning I have to manually edit the file and cannot export direct to Google or use a cron job
FYI
I have had to created a set of “features” in every product which includes the “brand” and “condition” fields so they can be exported, these are fairly easy to fill quickly by editing multiple products at a time in the admin are but the mpn has to be unique for each product meaning I’d have to individually edit thousands of products to get that info in there
It would be so much easier if I could map the product_id field to both id and mpn
CS-Cart thinks they have a finished data feeds product and it doesn't even offer a product id . . . a required field in every data feed?! Come on CS-Cart … stop putting out a half finished product and then brag about all the features of your cart that don't even work correctly!

Hello,
I am a major newbie… I am attempting to solve this issue with the Google Merchant Feed requirements
RE:
MPN which is the product code (id)
Brand which is manufacturer name
From what I have researched I believe CS Cart may be able to do this with a Data Feed
Basically can I export my feed via google base and make that the file and then under the EXPORTED ITEMS select the items/categories for the feed
…and then under FIELDS MAPPING define the new attributes that Google Merchant is requiring: MPN & BRAND
I belive we can do this by selecting the product type and renaming the fields as follows:
product code as MPN
manufacturer as BRAND
…does this make any sense at all… I really need help understanding this!
I'm amazed almost 3 years later and this is still an issue with the cart.
Let's face it, the Google Base export is deprecated, it can no longer do an export which will be accepted by Google. You must use the Data Feeds addon, and configure the export this way. Still, there is no quick or easy way to input the necessary data for product features. Just when you think you've got it right, you find out the product import doesn't update the features already in place, it completely wipes over them. Pretty poor and I would expect better.
This 'Data Feeds' addon absolutely stinks!
I created a custom template:
Exclude disabled products: Checked
I then had to add every category and its subcategories (why it doesn't do this already, I have no idea) to the list of products from categories which will be exported.
I then set up the mapping as follows:
id > Product ID
title > Product Name
link > Product URL
description > Description
condition > Condition
price > Price
availability > Availability
image_link > Image URL
brand > Brand
mpn > MPN
google_product_category > Google product category
product_type > Category
weight > Weight
sale_price > Sale Price
manufacturer > Manufacturer
However, when I export this newly created data feed, the cart exports all products, regardless if the product is enabled or disabled. The 'Exclude disabled products' option doesn't make a difference - all products are exported when this is checked and unchecked.
Not only that, but all the products have these extra features included and with the correct data complete (eg. Brand and Manufacturer).
So, I open up the new data feed file which was exported, to find:
mpn > Correct
title > Correct
link > Correct
description > Correct
condition > Correct
price > Correct
availability > Correct
image_link > Correct
manufacturer > No data exported, but column generated in export file.
google_product_category > No data exported, but column generated in export file.
product_type > Correct
weight > No data exported, but column generated in export file.
sale_price > Correct
But where is Product ID and Brand (Columns missing completely) and Manufacturer, Google Product Category and Weight (Columns generated, but no data exported).
Seems this data feed addon is severely flawed in 2.2.4. Haven't had products on Google Merchant Center since the transfer to CS-Cart from Interspire. It's seriously sad times for a software company such as Simbirsk when their rival, whom stopped production on their software well over 12 months ago, can still produce a data feed to be accepted by Google.
Unfortunately I'd like to put this down as user error, but I've now tried on 3 sites, all running 2.2.4, all with the correct data in the cart, yet none of them can export this data. Thankfully only one site is actually live so far, yet it does make me wonder if I should continue to develop using this platform.
If you want a hand, let me know. I've gotten pretty good with the whole datafeed/google features export/import thing.
My only beef I have with this datafeed thing is that it also exports all of the products that are out of stock, which is super annoying.
Tony Birnseth's XML feed thing works really well too. It will exclude the out of stock products.
Not that any of that helps, but maybe I can help a bit if you shoot me a PM or email me. It is too much of a pain in the butt to try and explain everything on here.
Thanks,
Brandon
Brandon,
Is there some secret to getting the cron job to run? I created the cron job but it doesn't seem to be working. I used the syntax
they require in the admin
php /path/to/cart/admin.php --dispatch=exim.cron_export --cron_password=MYPASS
But I do not see any file being created in public_html/var/exim where it should be created.
I chose export to server and set the export folder as /home/mydir/public_html/var/exim/. I saved the job and checked
the location and the file was there. I deleted the file then waited for the cron job to run.
I got an email from my server saying the cron job ran but i dont see any file having been created after the cron job ran.
I don't have my cron job set up, sorry. I just do it the ol'e fashioned way and manually upload it.
Wish I could be more help with that one. If I get a chance this evening, I'll play with it and see if I can't figure it out.
Thanks,
Brandon
Thanks if you have any luck please let me know.
Anyone know what 'Enclosure' is on General Settings of the Data Feed addon, I assume, perhaps wrongly, this is the field enclosure, but I am getting errors in the Google Merchant Center feed when I enter " as the 'Enclosure', can anyone shed some light on the purpose and expected values for this field?
What do you do for things like “condition” and you need them all to be NEW, but your database was just imported and none of this is filled in? I wish there was a way to set a manual blanket overide for some of these things. I tried to find this in the database to no avail.
yes yes yes, this sucks bad…
#1 got errotrs on shipping/tax/condition/availability/brand/ etc etc.
it seems if you have 4000 products you need to MAP stuff that already exists… like …availability… etc
it also seems these things are google export features… so…item features…
so how to mass bulk att features to them ?
Hello,
I have a question,…
I have 3 price rates, assigned to 3 groups of clients, I need to create 3 feeds with prices assigned to each client group
as I can do?
