How can i get the total new message count? something like this... New messages (10)

Describe more accurately what you want to get? Is it about the messages from store or messages from customers to the vendor?

Yes on the vendor communication addon, i want to show the number of new messages coming from vendor to customer
At the moment the system does not get amount of new messages on the store-front. It is required to create a new init.post.php controller for the store-front to retrieve this information from database
