CS-Cart not working in Internet Explorer 8

I was not able to sing in with the image verification turned on, the error was : incorrect or missing confirmation. Turned off the image verification and now it signs me in, but as soon as i click on any link in the catalog it signs me out and all I see is Sing In/ Register. If adding products to cart and trying to sing in I get logged out as soon as i click on any link and cart comes back as empty. I also cant log into the Admin panel, it keeps signing me out everytime I try to make a chnage. I have no problems modifing any settings or logging in with Firefox or Chrome.

Wondering if anyone ran across such a problem. Thanks in advance.

I have the same problem. Everytime, CS-Cart Support tells me they can not duplicate the problem so, they keep taking credit but no resolution. So I had a AJAX freelancer look at it and he stated he thought it was the way AJAX URL was being requested. So, now I have ANOTHER case in with CS-Cart to beg them to VPN to my machine so they can see it duplicate. This is not a server issue. I only have this problem in IE7 and IE8. Firefox is fine.

Had the same sort of problem in that the cart emptied when changing the category for example:

Add an item to the cart + Select a new category = Empty cart

This only happens in IE8 with compatibility mode switched off.

Temp fix here - http://forum.cs-cart.com/showpost.php?p=47706&postcount=5

PER CS-CART CUSTOMER SERVICE:

  1. Opened the Internet Explorer browser;
  2. Clicked on the “Tools” link;
  3. Opened the “Internet Options” page;
  4. Opened the “Advanced” tab;
  5. Disabled the “Enable third-party browser extensions” check box;
  6. Clicked on the “OK” button.
  7. Restarted the browser.

    The problem is not caused by our software. The same problems can occur with other sites too. The only reason for the problem is the extensions used for Internet Explorer, which prevent the correct work. For example, it can be the antivirus. After this check box is disabled, everything works correctly, which proves our assumption.

    We will add such an article to our Knowledge Base.

    Also, we did not say that the problem was caused exactly by the “antivirus” or firewall programs.

    The problem consisted in “chrome frame BHO” for IE, if you disable it, everything will work correctly. For more information regarding this problem, please refer to

    Thank you for understanding.
