I currently have a cs-cart site but its a year and half old version. I have another site that I am thinking of buying another cs-cart license for and will have the exact same product. Can I download the db from my old cart and just upload to the new carts DB? Will that new version of cs cart pick up the changes flawlessly?
Assuming that you plan to run the new site on the current version of CS-Cart, you will need to transform your existing DB to conform with the structure required for the current version. You can accomplish this by manually updating the database using the database.sql and post_upgrade.php included in each of the incremental upgrade packages (e.g., 1.3.4-to-1.3.4-sp3).
