Now the problem is solved. Thank you. :)
Thanks for that, I tested the demo to some success
Two questions:
Compatible with 2.0.15?
Are customer required to use their facebook login at all times after using the login system? I attempted to use my facebook email/password after logging out to no avail.
Ouch - $79 is pretty spendy for a login interface…
But, now that you’ve released it, there’s no point in me developing one.
Why not develop one? Maybe your version would offer something better (like Twitter too) and maybe your price would be more competitive for a login interface.
Patience… Offering other environments such as twitter, linkedin, google, etc. would be where the janrain product would come into play. However, my experience is that the majority of users of cs-cart are averse to paying subscription fees for services. Since the dominant domain is facebook, that’s probably the best place to start without an fraework like JanRain.
In reviewing JanRain’s offering, it would take the Pro version ($100/month) to get the interactive functionality required to be a reasonable FB login/like/post_to_wall interface. I doubt very seriously that people who balk at spending $50 for an addon would be willing to pay $100/month for login subscription services.
Like button and comment box are really easy to implement in CS-cart (just copy and paste the code in a block or template) so this was the only thing that was still missing.
Just tried it on your site and see a couple of little problems that you might want to look into:
It didn’t copy my name right from facebook, it missed the middle part.
my name is as follows:
Firstname prefix Lastname (for example: prefixes like van, von, or de are very often used in Europe)
When I used the plugin CS-cart showed only Firstname Lastname while it should be
First name: Firstname
Lastname: prefix Lastname
I never filled in my address in facebook, and I think with me many others.
When I check my profile it says I’m from the US and live in Massachusetts though, this is probably the default setting, but I think it’s better to leave it open cause it might confuse some people.
If you can fix these two things, you have a new customer…
Shouldn’t thos add-on include signing in with Twitter also?
Thanks

We have done a rpxnow.com (Janrain) integration but it’s not released as an addon due to its flexibility. We can accept custom work for it so please PM me if anyone needs this to be done.
For small to medium sized stores, Facebook connect is more than enough to use.

The second problem can be solved by clearing the default settings in admin. This will enable other users to allow default settings.
We’re working on the first problem, thanks for your feedback!
