Cs-Cart Backup, Backup On Upgrade And Backup On Store Import

Hello

Why is it so that CS-CART BACKUP, BACKUP ON UPGRADE AND BACKUP ON STORE IMPORT are very slow.

We tested our database (about 1.2 GB) for backup through a custom script, mysqldump was able to backup within in a few seconds. However, same process through cs-cart back end backup commands takes over 15 hours.

Any any suggestions please.

1) you're going through PHP rather than mysqldump.

2) cs-cart uses Phar for creating archives which is a pig.
