cs cart 4.0.3 - decrease inventory according to product status

we have following status in our store, with [color=#555555] [/color]Inventory[color=#555555] option set as below:[/color]

So the inventory should decrease when 1st status is Payment Authorized (when online payment is made or we manually change it to Payment Authorized after offline payment confirmation) and also when we change status to Processing / Shipped the inventory should decrease but that is not happening

Please explain this - how we could make the quantity decrease automatically when status is changed to Payment Authorized / Processing

I am not on 4.0.3 but I assume it is still the same as previous versions!



On each product you will need to set inventory “track without options” or “track with options”

It sounds like you want your inventory to decrease twice: once after Processed, and then again after Shipped.

Why would you want to do that?



If you read the article you linked to it clearly states that the inventory will change if the new status does not impact the inventory the same as the existing status. So a status change to Processed decreases inventory, then another status change to Shipped will not also decrease inventory because Shipped is a decreasing inventory status and the cart is smart enough to know that inventory was already decreased by Processed.



This is normal behavior for inventory management.

Decreasing the value twice is not the requirement . But the inspite of having
