Hello All-
I have scoured this forum (3 characters or more;/ ), google, knowledge base, etc. to find out how to set a page to link directly to a PDF file. I created a page, (Content, Page). I then tried “Add Link” under this page with the complete URL. It didn't work.
I don't want a page that has to be opened up and then the user clicks on the link. I want a direct link when they open the page, it goes directly to this pdf file.
I know it is simple to do in WordPress with a plug-in. Anyone have any ideas?
They would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
cmund

Ok, I solved my own problem but wanted to share:
- Added PDF file to website's control panel folder
- Added an item to my top menu and placed the path and file name in the URL box on that particular item.
Hey, can you please elaborate on how you went about creating the Link to downloadable PDF file? I am new to CS Cart and need help. BTW, I too have scoured the web and online resources trying to find a solution to this problem but to no avail.
Your help will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
James

If I understood correctly, cmund offered to create a new folder (e.g. files), put the file to this folder via FTP and add the following URL to the top menu:
http://your_domain.com/files/your_file.pdf
Please try
It worked excellent! Thanks a lot. BTW, here's a link to the website in the question: http://packzen.com/custom-binders.html
The Link to the pdf files are located in the footer section of: http://packzen.com/custom-binders.html
Glad to hear that you solved the issue
Hi, I need help creating custom styles to add to my page. Each time I edit the styles.css, the rules get overwritten and nothing happens. Please help provide me with pointers on how to create custom styles so that I can start customizing my pages with MY OWN styles.
Thanks
We recommend you to use the CSS section in the theme editor. In this case all custom styles will be saved after upgrades
