Creating a page in two languages and linking it to a menu item in two languages

I have been through the Knowledge Base and Reference Guide and find them extremely lacking.

My shop is in two langauges, namely english and dutch. All I want to do is create a page called “read” and translate it into dutch and call it “lees” and link it to a Top Menu or Quick Links menu item called “read this page” and in dutch “lees deze pagina”.

The result should be that when a visitor views my shop in the english language they see a menu item called “read this page” which is linked to the “read” page and when they view the shop in dutch they see the same menu item but now called “lees deze pagina” which is linked to the dutch version of the “read” page now called the “lees” page.

I can’t seem to figure out how this is done. Could someone give me some plain instructions?

Regards,

Martin
