Contributing To Cs-Cart

Hello. I have found various bugs and things missing in CS-Cart. Alot of them are 10 minute fixes that could have been repaired/added years ago. Is there a way to contribute back or must we wait months via the bugtracker and ideas channels?

Also, what is the deal with Erain cart? Seems pinnacle cart owns the license & copyright for that "branch". If contributing is not an option, what are the steps to becoming a re-brand like erain/pinnacle?
