compressing content

I see that my web server allows me to do the following:-



Apache 2.0 and 2.2 allow you to compress content before sending it to the visitor's browser



is it worth doing this as its currently disabled on my server and i can easily enable it

you can enable it and see if it makes a difference. If you have any addons or customisations like flash, it may affect them so try it for a while and if it works use it .
