I have installed CS Cart on my server and have come across a problem with the checkout, it seems to be stalling at the “Please be patient” page, i mean 5Min+ load time. Things to bare in mind:
It happens on Telephone orders/COD/Check/Realtime Processor.
Rest of the site runs fine.
Order goes into admin instantly
I have implemented Smartoptimiser
Rest of the installation is pretty standard.
Version 2.0.11
Tested on multiple products/accounts/internet connections
Are you on a shared server? It wouldn’t explain 5 minute load times, but sometimes servers get overloaded with those shared hosting companies.
I’m running 2.0.11 and its very fast… search for speed optimizing on the forum… I’m pretty sure there are a few threads on how you might be able to speed it up
Dedicated host, good spec server, smarty optimizer installed, php memory increased, all the other pages are quick, its just the “Please be Patient” page on the checkout that takes ages.
@indy0077 why do ask about product numbers? does cs cart become unstable after X amount of products?
No,it was because you said you have a dedicated server, I just want to know why people buy expensive hosting solutions if 80% of them can run on a shared space or VPS.
Cool, had me worrying there for a moment, we tried to work with magento a year ago and had lots of issues with speed, customization and alsorts however CS Cart seems to work really well.
Our dedicated server also host a few small business sites as well as our main website, we also have reseller account that host our other websites but find it quite restrictive when it comes to customizing the setup.
I get that sometimes, but actually, it may not be cscart. I have an account with linkpoint and authorize.net. If linkpoint is slow, I switch to auth net. I think it may be the processor.
