Hi,
I was messing about with “languages” because i wanted to change the references from “tax” to “GST” (the tax name in Australia).
I think it was since that point on that my checkout freezes.
When you go to checkout, you can fill in yr contact info, but when you go to “next step”, it freezes completely.
I have since gone back and changed the GSTs back to taxes, but i’m unsure if i changed them all back to their correct original values.
Does anyone think that this can be the cause of my checkout freezing, and if so, anyone know where i can get a list of the original values?

I just corrected them all and it makes no difference.
However, I just spoke with the client on the phone and he said that he is not having any problems with checkout.
I tried on my machine using both FF and IE - still can’t make it happen!
rather strange.

i think i have it sorted tho. the problem only exists when i try to make a purchase as a Guest.
this does not worry me tho, as the only reason i enabled Checkout as Guest is for testing puposes.
seems that when i register as a new user, or log-in as a previous customer, things work just fine.
not a prob for me anymore, but maybe worth looking into if other vendors want to enable anonymous check out.

I had this problem and fixed it.
Take your cart off 1 page check out
Go to Administration/ Settings
Go down to Users/cart
uncheck one page checkout
Save
test a order again and you should get a error message on what’s causing the problem.
I had no postage set up for my state after setting it up for taxes.
