Change column width

Hi, anyone know how to change the column width in admin>>catalog>>product so that it have enough space for the contents. Please refer to the enclosed picture.

Would be in the skins//admin/views/products/manage.tpl file. May have to adjust the width of the column in the table or possibly the size of the input field (note that size is approximately the number of characters to show).

Not sure why when used as an attribute versus a style that “width” behaves differently. Maybe one of the HTML gurus on here can explain?
