Change Add To Cart text to button in compact list

Can someone please provide information on how to change the “Add To Cart” text to a “add to cart” button when the product layout is set to Compact list.

Go into skins//customer/blocks/product_list_templates/short_list.tpl and change but_role=“act” to but_role=“action”
