Working with V4… We list our categories down the left hand column… We got it to show all the categories on the home page but we also want it to show them on the specific category page… When we do so it only shows the sub-categories for that perticular category… We want it to show all… We are selecting Root with Dynamic but It will not… What am I doing wrong… ??
If you want to show the full category tree, use Full Tree, otherwise, to display a category menu with dynamic results (ie. category menu changes for each category/subcategory), use Dynamic.

That sucks because then it shows all categories along with sub-categories… Makes for a very long list… Back in 2.2.5 we had “emenu” and it worked perfectly… Shows all primary categories along with the arrow for pop out to subs…

Hi Bat, Just goto your layout and click on homepage then create your grids and the block Categories. It does take some time figuring out how the block manager works but once you get the hang of it, it's a handy tool.

No CSS or file changes. Just create the block as shown below. Admin/Design/Layouts/Homepage
