I am building an application that builds custom items. I can’t do this in cs cart as far as I know but I was wondering if cs cart can be stripped down so I can just use the checkout feature. I was thinking I could just send a final Pric that my application added up to the checkout. Is this possible?

Did you try the demo? CS-CART can do customize with different parts. For example, configure a computer system.
