The “Telegram and MAX Notifications” add-on for CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor.
A letter about an order does not always arrive and is rarely read at once: it lands in the “Promotions” tab, gets lost among newsletters, and on a phone without a mail client it is simply invisible. The customer calls and asks what is happening with the order — although the store has already written three times. The add-on gives those letters a second route: a message in Telegram or MAX.
How it works
- On top of the standard notification system. The add-on does not introduce its own event list. Every CS-Cart event that has an e-mail gets two more channels, and they are switched on at the same screen, event by event, separately for customers, administrators and vendors.
- Its own text for a messenger. A whole letter does not move into a chat, so every event has a separate template — edited in the “By e-mail / Telegram / MAX” tabs of the same notification card, with the same variables.
- The customer connects the chat. The button is in the customer account, on the order page and on the “Thank you for your order” page. The store issues a one-time code, the bot returns it, and the chat is linked to the account. For a guest order the connection belongs to the order — no account needed.
- A queue with retries. The checkout never waits for a messenger: the event is written into the queue, and a cron job sends it. A temporary API error is not a lost message.
- A log of everything sent. The text of the message, the answer of the messenger, the receiver and the order — with filters and a “Send again” button for anything undelivered.
- Two messengers at once. If a customer has connected both, the message goes to the preferred one and falls back to the second only when the first could not deliver.
- Its own bot for every storefront — the token, the bot name and the storefront buttons are storefront-level settings.
Requirements: CS-Cart or Multi-Vendor 4.17.1 and newer, a Telegram bot (a token from @BotFather) and/or a MAX bot, the store address over HTTPS and a cron job for the queue.
On the live demo: the queue and the log are filled, including an undelivered message with the messenger answer. The connect buttons are in the customer account — the sign-in is printed on the add-on card on the front page of the stand.
