Cart-Power Add-On: Live Search

The latest version of this add-on is very good, I use it on my store. No bugs which makes me happy. Would like to suggest you update it to support the new product variations as we are supposed to move away from product options apparently.

So if I have a variation of a speaker, in color white and black. (2 products linked together by varation) this search add-on will treat it like it does for options.

I don't believe product options are going away. However, 'option combinations' have indeed been replaced with 'variations'. But options better be here to stay.

For years I've been using the Quick Search addon from Alt Team and been happy with it. However, it recently stopped working properly, but the developers are not answering support tickets and the addon seems to have been abandoned.

Cart-Power's Live Search is a worthy alternative...I may even like it better. Purchase and installation of the addon was seamless and quick. I did have a minor issue which turned out to be a conflict between the addon and the Vivashop theme, but they fixed it and have added the fix to the addon code so it won't return when I update.

Overall very impressed with this add on and its developer, Cart-Power!

I bought and installed this add-on and it works very well but I would like to be able to customize the font size (especially the price) to the displayed results, maybe in the next version.

You can probably just use a simple css line.

Dear Friends!

We have updated our Live search add-on to version 3.5 from 26 July 2021. What is new:

[!] - The "export" button was duplicated on the export search phrases page. Fixed.

[!] - Vendor information was not displayed in the search results. Fixed.

[!] - On the vendor's page common products were not displayed in the search results if the â€œDisplay common products separately by vendorâ€ setting was enabled. Fixed

Hi,

How do I traslate the text on the category field that on the right of the search box? I cannot seem to manage to edit the text from the Edit Text, Edit On Site nor I cannot find anything on the block to translate.

I have another question, how do I export the translataion that I have made so that I can import it to another instance?

We have updated our Live Search add-on to version 3.8 from 19 April 2022. What is new:

[+] - The ability to show a product in the recommended block, if the request completely matches the SKU was added.

[+] - The ability to set priorities of the categories in the search results and sort the search results grouped by category by priority or alphabetically was added.

[+] - The ability to display product categories in a special block on the default search results page was added.

[+] - The ability to quickly clear the search input field was added.

[+] - Search motivation: The ability to adjust animation speed was added.

[+] - The ability to add a placeholder for the search string was added.

[+] - The ability to filter the search results by categories was added.

[+] - The navigation through the search results from the keyboard was added.

[+] - The smart sorting of search results was added.

[+] - The ability to display out of stock products at the end of the list was added.

[+] - The search history for authorized users was added.

[+] - The ability to set the priority for the search keywords was added.

[+] - Multi-Vendor: Vendors can now suggest synonyms.

[+] - The ability to search for products by tags was added.

[*] - If there is a synonym in the query, the search will be performed both by the synonym and by the search value.

[*] - The logic of the work with the Yandex.Speller was improved.

[!] - Search by page title did not work. Fixed.

[!] - Colors in the styling section did not change on the latest versions of CS-Cart. Fixed.

[!] - In stores with large product databases, there were issues with generating the cache tables. Fixed.

We have updated our Live Search add-on to version 3.11 from 09 June 2022. What is new:

[ * ] - Pressing the Enter button right after entering the search request will redirect to the all search results page.

[!] - When the search acceleration is enabled, the search by part of the product code did not return any result. Fixed.

[!] - Responsive theme: The second line of the long product name was cut off. Fixed.

[!] - The price was not displayed for out of stock products. Fixed.

[!] - Search by variation code did not return any result for variations without separate product position. Fixed.

Hello, I have jjst upgraded to v 3.11 , the price shown in the search bar now shows prices “including tax” old version shows price without tax, I dont see a setting to be able to choose, is it possible to be able to show price without tax ?

Sorry for late reply, but seems to be working now .
Can you also tell me, in the previosu version of the addon, I used this variable Screenshot by Lightshot
to show “search anything here” in the search box, where can I add it in this version now please.
