We have an install of 3.0.2 on our site http://www.lootbids.com
We cannot receive the order email notification when a customer place any order and complete checkout using the PayPal.
However we can receive the order email notification when a customer place any order and complete checkout using the Other Payment Options/Phone Ordering.
So we think it is a bug.
Can someone help us to fix it?
Anyone can receive the order email notification when a customer place any order and complete checkout using the PayPal?
Hi, We fixed this by going to Orders > Order Statuses > Processed and checking “Notify orders department”. If you're using paypal, look at what the status is after the order is placed and open that status and check the notify orders department for that status.
Also, if using Paypal, you might need to do what @pxtorti suggests but for the 'Open' status as well.
I have upgraded to 3.0.2 and all paid paypal orders are not Open not processed as it was before
Hey,
Everytime my customers place an order it said incomplete order, anyone know why?
Thank you
Tom
Something is failing after the order is completing and before payment completes. Check your php error_log file to see if you can find a problem.

[/quote]I can't fine what is the problem. Also, I don't get any e-mail from my cart that the order was place, but I do get it from paypal.
Okay, so we're revealing more info now…
You use paypal and paypal is showing the the order was placed but your cart is showing the order as Incomplete?
No email will be sent to anyone on an Incomplete order.
So the problem to solve is why the paypal response of success is not being seen by the cart. I can think of a couple of possibilities here…
- You have IPN enabled on paypal (it shouldn't be)
- You have configured paypal to use an invalid URL for responding to your cart when the payment is processed successfully. Note that this is different then the return url.
So my belief is that you have a configuration problem with paypal. Possibly one of the other users on the forum who use paypal extensively can better help. I only enable paypal as a last-resort option for foreign customers that have trouble using their credit cards on my site.

I could be wrong on the above (which is why I said other paypal users might chime in) but it certainly sounds like you have a configuration issue with paypal… Have you contacted the helpdesk?

A typical helpdesk inquiry costs 5 support credits. That’s like $7.00usd.
Don’t know about you, but it doesn’t take a lot of minutes to chew up $7 worth of time in my world…
