We have heavy equipment that requires special shipping costs. Is there a way to specify call for shipping.
I set up a product called Custom Freight that a customer can enter in the amount for.
I then made this a required product for a test product.
But when I add the test product to the cart the Custom Freight product gets included at $0. It doesn’t require the customer to enter the amount.
I also thought the heavy equipment could have a very large weight specified which would force it to a ‘Custom Freight’ shipping method. But because it does not have a shipping amount associated with any destination it does not show up as a sipping option in checkout.
Any ideas on how to let a customer know they’ll have to call for a shipping quote?
