Hi
I am trying to make the following offer :
Buy 1 of x, get 1 of y half price. If the customer buys 2 of x, I also want him to get 2 of y half price. I have set this offer up on CS Cart, and it works ok with just 1 quantity of x and 1 of Y, but as soon as the customer buys 2 of x and 2 of y, it will charge full price on both! Is there any fix to this? I realise that the customer has to put both products x and y into his cart first before he gets the discount.
I am running version 2.010. By the way, has anyone tried SnoRocket’s Product Chooser addon, and would it be helpful for this scenario?
Thanks
Mike
I have upgraded to the latest version, and it no longer charges full price. I want the customer to only get 1 quantity of product Y half price if he buys 1 quantity of product X. But CS Cart is allowing the customer to have unlimited quantity of product Y half price if he just buys 1 of product X. This shouldn’t be happening, is there any way around it? Normally when you get a buy 1 get 1 half price offer, that means buy 1 and get 1 half price, not buy 1 get 10 half price!
Hello Mike,
I suggest that you should use the functionality of the “Buy together” add-on. In order to set up this add-on, you should follow instructions in the “Setting up the ‘Buy together’ addon” article of our Knowledge base: [url]CS-Cart Documentation — CS-Cart 4.15.x documentation

Hi Pavel
Thanks for your suggestion. I have followed the instructions to set this up, however for some reason no discount is given on the user end (even though I set it up correctly on admin side). Would you know why?
Also, is it possible to use this in conjunction with a discount coupon, so that only when a discount coupon is entered, the customer can take advantage of the buy together offer.
Thanks
Mike
Hello Mike,
Unfortunately, it is impossible to use a coupon code within the “Buy together” add-on’s functionality. As regards the problem with applying a discount, it requires investigation on your server. Please contact us via Customer Help Desk and provide temporary access to your server.
