I'd like to check my website's breadcrumbs usage statistics. I would like to know if clients are indeed using them or perhaps we should remove them all together (as they somehow dont fit in the custom template design for cscart 4, which we are moving to from 2.1).
So is there any way to do it? Naturally, I thought of Google Analytics, but… how? There's not an obvious solution I think, maybe via event tracking?
You could use the in-page analytics. This would show you how many people are clicking on the breadcrumbs for individual pages. It might not be as good as having a table of data, but it would be something. You might also be able to set up an event.
Isn't it better to have the breadcrumbs for SEO though?
