Body over the header

Hi everyone i am just customising a theme for a school. i am new to this but would like a hand.

I have created a header image and have this applied. However i want the main body to sit over the top of this so that the top banners touch the top menu.

The site is online.stpetesrgirls.sa.edu.au

the effect i want is here http://www.livingcontemporary.com/

you can see how the header kind of goes behind the main block of content

at the moment i am using

.header {

background-attachment:scroll;

background-image:url(http://online.stpetersgirls.sa.edu.au/images/Header.png);

background-repeat:repeat no-repeat;

height: 300px;

}

what else do i need?

Thanks in advance

Found out you have to make the header run from the header background image and then splice the rest of the header onto the central_bg image

Nice looking site! Did you do the theme yourself?

Also, the site is reported an expired SSL.

www.livingcontemporary.com uses an invalid security certificate.

I have done the beachpool site myself, the living design site is not mine. I am was just trying to figure out how to get the header to go down past the menu like that page.

Oh I see. Beachpool site looks great too ;)

Sorry i meant to say stpeters site.

I noticed i stuffed up the URL in the top post too so nobody could even see the site i was doing LOL

I just made some changes on the beachpool one anyway and have been able to extend the main body over the footer a bit.
