Automatic Activation Of Customers

On our customer registration form we have a drop down list for 'type of business'.



If a customer is of a certain business sector we want to have them active automatically without the need for admin to activate the account. All others will remain inactive until admin activates.



Does anyone have experience of enabling automatic activation of customers?

As far as I understand the dropdown was added on the “Profile fields” section in the admin panel? Please confirm.
