Auto generated discount code to show on invoices

This seems a bit backwards or I have simply overlooked something.



Ive setup a discount whereby if somebody places an order of over £x.xx

they get a coupon for 10% off their next order.



Now the issuing of these automatic coupons are working fine, a test

order comes up with you have qualified for 10% off your next order

blah blah blah, then on the order details page after submitting the

order the automatic discount is shown at the bottom in the promotions

section.



The coupons work fine and give the 10% off a next order.



Now is there a way to show these coupons on the invoice to print,

and in the invoice the buyer gets in the email?



It seems a bit silly to be able to issue automatic codes and the only way

the buyer is to find them is to go to their order details page.



I just know people will be phoning / emailing and asking where their

discount is.



It would be much easier to have it on the invoices which they get in their

parcels, and the email that gets sent.



So is there any way to do this?

Should be in the invoice emailed to the customer and/or the orders department when the order is processed.



What version are you running? I recall (but my memory should not be relied upon) this coming up recently with others in the 2.2.x versions (but I could be mistaken).

How do you go about setting up a generated coupon code to customers?

I believe im on 2.2.2



Below is the customer invoice that they and I see

the coupon there is just a normal promotion code





The one I want to see on invoices is below, its on the order details page

under promotions, but doesnt show up on the invoices

Then I'd say you'd just have to add it. The invoice template is located at skins//mail/orders directory.

I need this also, was it fixed in v3.0 ?

As my attempts to get this to show in v2.1.4 just wont work.

I copied the code from /orders/detail.tpl to the invoice.tpl file , but it wont work.

Any hints as to what code to use would be greatly appreciated…
