I dont recall if it was always this way or not but when I create a Hot Deals block, I am not given the option to select Hot Deals if I try to create it as a bottom block.
Im assuming this is normal behavior, but Id have to ask why and if anyone has managed to easily override this behavior?
The ‘Hot Deals’ block is an appearance type and is available only for blocks positioned in the “Central” position. It would be nice if it could also be used in the “Top” or “Bottom” position.

Ok Bob, once again you are right. Im struggling to get this to work. Its tied strongly to the site layout and changing it is giving me undesirable results.
Im going to have to turn to the pros on this one.
