We were working on a store and testing the Amazon Payments method.
We have a valid PositiveSSL certificate for testing.
The callback URL would only work without HTTPS.
Also whenever it went to the success page it displayed a wrong items count error.
Has anyone had any similar problems?

Do you have your setting in your Amazon Account set to “your checkout (website)” or "Your checkout (sandbox)'?
I have been using Amazon payments in cs-cart and do not have any problems except for the fact that it does not return the customers phone number. It did not return the state either, but cs-cart make “repairs” to my cart, it was a bug. Other than these problems, it seems to work fine.
