Adding ALT Tags to Images

I have noticed that none of my product images contain ALT tags. So when you mouseover an image, nothing appears. I see that you can add ALT tags within each product, but this seems like a tedious task.



Is there a way to add ALT tags to images during product import? Is there a quick and efficient way to do this?

When you add your import image path, attach the alt text at the end.



/path/to/image/image.jpg#alt_text

I tried that yesterday and the image didn't appear at all. Does the alt text have to include underscores?



Like:



path/water-filter.jpg#Water_Filter



Or could it be:



path/water-filter.jpb#Water Filter

Your second example should work. No underscores needed.
