Now how strange it may sound but in cs-cart 2.xx it is nearly impossible to replace the core thing of cart software - “add to cart” button with a single image.
Double image, css or form button simply cannot be anyhow replaced with single “add to cart” picture 
Now not sure what is cart software about but I thought its about selling, adding things to basket?
