The following option (check box) already exists on the admin page under Settings:
Administrator must activate new user accounts
It would be nice to have the option to require user email verification instead. This would be very useful if you have multiple systems that share logins and you want to eliminate false registrations and bots.
If enabled, C-S cart would verify the e-mail address of the user when they register via the website. Verification would involve sending an e-mail to the user containing an activation link which they must click to activate the account.
I second this idea.
