What is the different between virtual Dedicated Server and Dedicated Server?

Godaddy’s Virtual Dedicated is just another name for VPS which basically gives you a shared environment on a server that you have full control of (generally). A dedicated server you have the whole box, not a piece of the box like you get with a VPS. I know a bunch of people that tried Godaddy’s hosting and were very disappointed so my suggestion is to stay away. There are a few threads in here that talk about reliable hosts or check www.webhostingtalk.com for more info on good hosts.
