I know that the functionality exists for an automated email to be sent to supplier to ship good direct to your customer but it would be great if an email could be sent for these goods to be sent to me without disclosing my customer detail, only the order.

It seems it would be better to submit a consolidated order to your supplier rather than pay the individual shipping cost for each order.

Ummm sounds good… maybe instead of you picking the products you could highlight in product creation whether this products needs to be ordered. That in admin home page you have a section of all the items that need to be specially oredered and also how many products of this sort have been ordered and the total amount of these items. Then when you think you have enough orders for this one supplier you can select them from a consolidated view and punch in an emaila dress with a message from admin and send a bulk order to you supplier.

I have no idea when, or even if, they will ever provide a pick list but it is a pretty basic tool in many pick and pack operations (i.e., just about any warehouse). They are frequently sorted by inventory location (reducing walk distance) to expedite picking items which is typically more time-consuming than packing the items. Note that an inventory location can be a shelf in your warehouse or in your supplier’s warehouse. Of course, all this location information needs to be entered with your product info.

Shopping cart systems should be shopping cart systems & nothing more, do not use them for inventory control / purchasing or accounting purposes!
Nowadays, the cost of a good accounting program is not even an issue any longer, there are even FREE versions available.
Yes a pick list is a basic requirement of the cart, pity it is lacking…
