Abandoned Carts Disappear

Customers often build their cards with the aim of returning to it later that day/a few days later.

When they returned from the same IP address the products from the cart have disappeared.

What could be causing this?

This can be connected to the session lifespan, if their previous session when they did put products in the cart has expired, the cart will be empty.

Please specify, those customers do login or they don’t and just come back as guests?
