A little annoyed with myself

I have just overwritten my styles.css with the original one that came with cs-cart and even overwritten my back-up:cry: .

So I can start from scratch with all modifications I have done to the styles.css:( .

Martin (being a little annoyed and sad)

why don’t you unzip your cscart on the desktop and upload just the style.css file?

moka…he accidentally overwrote his modified style sheet

:frowning:

Martin, check with your host…maybe they can extract the styles sheet from the daily backup

OR.

If google has crawled you, look for a cached copy

o… bummer…

I think your hoster should be able to have access to an earlier version - it is a question of what it will cost.

Not sure why google would have the css but if it does then that is the easy solution there is also that site - forget what it is called - that archives web sites every now and then as part of a history of the web. But this would be less useful as I think it is about 4 to 6 monthly.

And the lesson for the rest of us. Back up our web sites and to more than one place and keep historical versions. With external hard drives pretty cheap this often works well - maybe more than one depending on your data value.

Hey folks,

Well I wanted to thank you all for your thoughts but I did it the old fashioned way and just changed everything by hand. Man what a nasty job to do for the second time:( .

Nontheless I really appreciate your ideas just in case it happens to me again in some future endeavour:p !

Regards,

Martin
