Tried upgrading from .14 to .15, and each time it comes back as “successfully installed”…and shows up on the “installed upgrades” tab. But when I return to the upgrade center, it’s still there as the next “install”. I have tried it several times and the outcome is the same…
Any ideas ?
This is the exact problem I had upgrading to .14. The config file won’t accept the upgrade, so I have to manually go in and change it to the current version. I did that and it worked ok…
You might want to doublecheck your file permissions. I had the same problem until I realized that one file didn’t have the right permissions, and so the update wouldn’t install. Once I fixed that, it upgraded with no problem.
If you have any local modifications in your upgrade center/ installed upgrades, make sure you resolve them before upgrading to another version

What are the permissions supposed to be ? I am so unsure of these things and I could easily blow it all up

The only modifications I have made at all are adding the ability to print out a work sheet in admin/views/orders/details
And I realized a long time ago that I needed resolve that issue with every upgrade…which is the very first thing I concentrate on
when you “install” the upgrade, are there any files listed in the left hand window?
On this last upgrade, I had one file, robots.txt, in that left hand window. I had to change the file permissions on it (i just gave it all - read, write, execute for all), installed the upgrade successfully (gratefully), then just changed the file permissions back to original.
And for each upgrade, I have to rename my admin.php file (which I have renamed for security) back to the original name and do the same thing. upgrade, then change back.

This is so confusing for those of us who really don’t understand how everything works. I have files in the left window for every upgrade, and not every upgrade causes problems. A few have gone extremely smooth, and others have been what nightmares are made of.
I installed the .15 upgrade yesterday, and it went smooth as silk. Right now I had to reverted back to .14 because my option price modifiers were not working. They are still not working. I just get so lost in the process
I don’t know if it’s permissions or what…
