1.3.4 rc3 product configurator - how the heck do you use it?

If this new feature is what I think it is, I’m totally psyched, but dang! How do you set it up?



I’ve been playing w/ it but can’t quite finger it out. Anyone got some pointers for me? Thanks,

Update: I’ve kinda figured out how it works, but what I can not figure out is what the product configurator classes are or what they do? Anyone?

well… i can’t say to a product to show just one class



now every product made “configurable” shows all the classes (even if empty!)



and i have anyway problems (due to bugs) to define configurators groups and classes… (already reported in the bugtracker)

I think I’ve got the groups and sections working, but still have no idea what the classes are for or how to use them. Can you give me some pointers please?

that is:



i have different kind of products, each with its own sections of configurations…



now, if i create 4 sections, for example, all the 4 tabs get shown on every configurable product.



it would be necessary to allow only specific sections to be shown on a product page (maybe it should show only sections with active groups in it).

Are you saying the classes are used to show the sections on only certain products that are designated within that class? If so, that makes sense. But I can’t figure out how to make it work yet :slight_smile:
