Hi everyone!!!

 

I am trying to edit our packing slip so that if a customer specifies a different shipping address email to the email they use to place the order, it is displayed instead of the main email address on our packing slips.

 

So effectively I would like a statement to say - IF s_shipping_email field is used during checkout then display that field on the packing slip. If that field is left blank then use email instead.

 

Would someone be able to help with this at all?

#318458 Multiple Rated Areas Sharing Same Wildcard Zip/postal Code

Hi all,
 
I am struggling to find a straight answer and hope someone can help please?
 
Our store has a UK Mainland shipping method set up with one set of prices covering all the UK mainland using a list of postal codes with wildcards etc. This method is limited to 99.99kg and works fine.
 
I would like to add a new delivery method that caters for orders weighing 100kg+. I have created this method with weight of 100kg - 500kg. 
 
The issue I have is each zip / postal code needs to be priced differently for this new shipping method (100kg - 500kg).
 
So to test I have created a rated area just using ST* as the zip postal code, nothing else. I have then set a price for the new ST* rated area in the new delivery method 100kg - 500kg.
 
Now when I calculate shipping using that postal code I get the "shipping unavailable message" no matter what weight of items are in the cart. All other zip postal codes calculate as expected.
 
Can anyone confirm if this is because a wildcard in the zip postal code section cannot be repeated to more than one rated area?
 
Is this the case even though the 2 shipping methods that refer to the ST* zip postal codes in the rated areas have different weight restrictions and therefore should not overlap with one another?
 
I hope that makes sense!

Hi Folks,

 

Looking for some guidance please!

 

I recently commissioned an addon which adds a prefix to our website order numbers.

 

We now have AAA2019 - So 3 letters, the current year then the actual order number used by cs-cart.

 

Before this addon I manually set the order ID to include the year.

 

Is there anyway I can manually change each existing order ID to not conflict with this new addon? As i will need to set the initial order to a lower number in effect.

I forgot I created that post a while ago!

 

I have managed to solve this on my own  :mrgreen:

 

I inserted this code where I wanted the store logo to appear - {{ snippet("company_logo") }}

 

I then created the 'company_logo' snippet with the following - <img src="{{c.logos.mail.image.image_path}}" alt="{{ company_data.company_name }}" width="100">

 

This takes the image saved for 'Mail' in the theme editor and displays it on the packing list.

 

I have done the same for invoices as well!

Hi all,

 

I am in the process of setting up another storefront on CS-Cart.

 

Currently for invoice and packing slip documents I am using a jpeg image of our company logo. This worked fine when only having 1 storefront set up.

 

Now I want to set up storefront 2 I need to change the logo via the document editor in both invoice and packing slip so it uses the store logo for each store front.

 

How do I insert the logo uploaded by the them editor for example? Can this be done via a snippet?

 

Any help would be hugely appreciated!

Hi all,

 

I was wondering if anyone can help me?

 

For some reason the images on the product details page have changed. 

 

Previously they displayed like 'Capture.jpg' but now they display incorrectly on the page.

 

This is even more evident with a product that uses multiple images.

 

Please see 'Capture2.jpg' and 'Capture3.jpg' to see what i mean.

 

As far as I can tell nothing has been changed that should have created this issue other than i used the 'clean up generated thumbnails' function.

 

Any help would be hugely appreciated!

Try to increase Settings -> Thumbnails -> Product details page thumbnail width

 

I have tried this and unfortunately it doesn't seem to make any increase in size past the 500px point. I can shrink the image down using this method but not up.

The old checkout (the one from 4.9.3) is still working in 4.10 and you can switch to it any time.

So please answer the following questions:

1. do you need billing address at checkout?

2. do you wok with companies (b2b)? if not please specify the reason why you need billing address

3. what approx percent of b2c compare to b2b sales on your site

4. what the best implementation of b2b checkout from you point of view (link or several to famous stores)

 

 

1. The option to have a separate billing and shipping address is essential for us. Not all customers use this option but that was fine because of the simple radio button if they required a different shipping address. It blows my mind that this function has been removed!!!

 

2. The majority of our customers are businesses or agencies, often ordering on behalf of a different business or location so again the ability to separate the addresses is absolutely needed!

 

3. Around 95% of our business is B2B.

 

4. I think CS-Cart handled the checkout perfectly well before. I was hoping the update would simply streamline the process while keeping the existing functionality. 

 

Additional Comments

 

It is also absolutely essential for our business that shipping is calculated using the customers postcode and not just the city they are from as it seemed in the update.

 

I have also noticed that since the update the main image on a product page has shrunk which I have been informed is a bug in the update.

 

I updated my store on good faith that this update would not cause issues like this and now I am worried that because my 1 year subscription runs out today I will not be able to update my store to rectify these huge issues without additional cost.

I wish I had not upgraded now. I cannot believe they made such radical changes to the checkout process that effectively remove options that were available to customers before the update. 

 

Plus the lack of postcode shipping calculations would be disastrous for us!

Hello everyone,

 

I recently upgraded my store to 4.10 with the new checkout etc.

 

What I cannot understand is why the shipping cost now seems to calculate based on the 'city' profile field and not the post / zipcode field.

 

I tried to edit the 'deliver to' block to replace the 'city' field with the 'postcode' field but it was not an option as far as i can tell.

 

I also do not understand where a user inputs the billing address should the billing and shipping addresses need to be different.

 

Does anyone know of a written explanation as to how this new checkout works exactly.

 

I have reverted back to the old one for the time being.

Hi all,

 

I was wondering if anyone knows how to achieve the following?

 

 

My store has 2 suppliers set up.

 

Supplier 1 - The customer can order any number of different products from this supplier.

Supplier 2 - The customer can order a maximum of any 2 products this supplier.

 

 

I am not sure how to achieve this. I tried to see if I could limit via shipping method. So more than 2 products from Supplier 2 would not provide a shipping option but this does not seem possible?

 

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi everyone!

 

I am looking to launch my CS Cart site soon but i would like the order numbers to continue from my old site. 

 

So that would be 'BBS20191535' in my case. This doesn't seem possible when using the Initial order ID value : in general settings.

 

 

Is there anyway around this issue? Even if we don't use the BBS part it still wont accept the 20191535 as the initial order value.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did try this but the search block seems to fill the row anyway. 

 

So the hamburger menu was forced above the search and the cart content block was forced below.

Thank you for the replies.

 

Ecom Labs - If you try and preview the page on a desktop, even in mobile view it does not display the correct blocks which is why it looks like that.

 

So the hamburger menu and the search block share a grid. The hamburger menu is set to display on mobile only.

 

I have managed to get the search bar onto the same line as the hamburger menu by assigning each block with display: inline-block; in css. I then simply set the search block to a width of 85% to ensure space on the line for the hamburger menu. 

 

I have attached a screenshot of the results. I am pleased with this as when i asked CS-Cart direct i was told it would require paid modifications to achieve.
