#320504 Request For Either Zippay Or Afterpay Addon

Posted by termalert on 03 October 2019 - 08:41 AM in Wishlist & Feature Requests

I currently have our CS-Cart parked on our old server.

I was not happy about having to move to Shopify just to get AfterPay

but there was not much by way of choice.

All the features that are native to 'out of the box' CS-Cart are paid add ons

at Shopify. Totally crapped off but the choice was taken out of my hands.

Nice to see a  ZipPay add on has been developed but in our case Zip wanted

nothing to do with sites that sell second hand goods.

It all boils down to different business models.
You guarantee your merchants goods and AfterPay lays
it off on the merchant.

Apology for getting a little hot under the collar.

Wishing you all the best in these times.

While waiting on LatitudePay we have onboarded with AfterPay as they were so much easier to deal with than your mob.

#319515 Request For Either Zippay Or Afterpay Addon

Posted by termalert on 06 September 2019 - 08:14 AM in Wishlist & Feature Requests

Thanks Maclean_cherry for telling me the real reason our application was rejected.

"Hi there, it looks like this was rejected because you're selling second hand clothes online. Because we guarantee against customer disputes we can't extend it to second hand clothes."
I guess a customer purchasing a new item for an event with every intention of fabricating a return reason will be guaranteed. Good luck with that.

To anyone reading.

If you plan to use BNPL and sell second hand clothing...forget it.

This drivel at the Zippay web site should be modified.

#319508 Request For Either Zippay Or Afterpay Addon

I don't doubt that given the number of applications your company receives that 'most' of it must be automated.

PM sent.

It's a crying shame that you guys never played with Australian CS-Carts. There are just too few of them I guess and the population will only keep shrinking due to no plug ins for Australian BNPL.

#319494 Request For Either Zippay Or Afterpay Addon

Insert Zippay firmly inside your terminal orifice maclean cherry. After spending 2 solid weeks with 17 hour days populating and configuring a Shopify site for my wife your pathetic mob knocked her back and didn't even so much as intimate the reason why. LatitudePay is going to tear Afterpay and Zippay a new a-hole. The sooner the better.

btw on a side note CS-Cart's Reward points system puts ALL others to shame.

#318822 Problem With Exporting A Products .csv File.

Posted by termalert on 17 August 2019 - 04:37 AM in Issues & Troubleshooting

That did it. Thank you very much.

Copied and pasted the description html into a shop product file and it looked a bit messy so

replaced all these ' ' things ( that were scattered through the html ) with a space and all went well.

Thanks again The Tool for filling in the gaps that should be included in a trouble shooter.

#318820 Problem With Exporting A Products .csv File.

Posted by termalert on 17 August 2019 - 02:09 AM in Issues & Troubleshooting

A complete mess. Using OpenOffice Calc to open file.

Even tried exporting from SQL Database but still get the Product Description

broken into many columns.

#318819 Problem With Exporting A Products .csv File.

Posted by termalert on 17 August 2019 - 01:55 AM in Issues & Troubleshooting

I am just using an out of the box cs-cart.

Tried using the default semi colon but it is still a huge mess.

Selected 6 products.

My product description was segmented across 6 unnamed columns and

most of the column headers didn't have corresponding data types underneath.

I don't really see how this export file can be used for any useful purpose.

#318808 Problem With Exporting A Products .csv File.

Posted by termalert on 16 August 2019 - 03:51 PM in Issues & Troubleshooting

When I create the file the Description is broken into many columns

and not one single column containing the entire description.

Is there a setting to prevent this happening or is this just the way it is ?

Also the .csv file is messy with some values not lining up with the correct header.

eg The Product Description is broken up into pieces under Price, Cost Price, Retail Price & Sale Price.

Looks like the only option will be Zippay for CS-Carts in Australia.

#318485 Afterpay

Posted by termalert on 04 August 2019 - 01:19 AM in General Questions

It's such a shame stevethi.

CS-Cart is just so feature rich out of the box but the pressure is most definitely on to get with the flow.

I have no idea why Australian CS-Cart users have been left out in the cold for what have been years now.

Maybe there are simply not enough of us to worry about.

We keep getting offers of 'custom' integrations but this means big bucks ( not for some but most certainly for me ).

Given what I have seen though, a custom integration would most likely be knocked back by Afterpay anyway.

#318470 Afterpay

Posted by termalert on 03 August 2019 - 05:17 AM in General Questions

OK...Now I am wondering how many Australian CS-Cart user will have to

seriously consider saying good bye to their beloved cart and do what

they have always resisted. That is go to Shopify or Bigcommerce.

Yes, I know that they charge extra for what CS-Cart users currently

get included but the pressure is on to get with the flow or stay in a

stagnating pond.

#318469 Zippay - Australian Cs Cart

Posted by termalert on 03 August 2019 - 04:20 AM in General Questions

Is this one for real ??

https://marketplace....or-cs-cart.html

Most likely for real but Afterpay have indicated that 3rd party add ons will be knocked back :(

#318468 Zippay - Australian Cs Cart

Posted by termalert on 03 August 2019 - 04:12 AM in General Questions

The current situation for Australian CS-Cart users is that there is no buy now pay later

that integrates with CS-cart. Unfortunately this means that there is greater pressure

for Australian CS-Cart users to abandon CS-Cart in favour of alternatives like Shopify or

Bigcommerce.

I know that bundled add ons that come free with CS-Cart are paid extras with eCommerce

alternatives but the pressure is still there.

Is there any way that Simtech can approach all Australian CS-Cart users and pass the hat around

with a view to making an add on for say AfterPay or Zippay ??

This might involve all users upgrading to the latest CS-Cart but there must be a way.

Having a custom add on is quite simply beyond the means of most CS-Carts users.

#315594 Request For Either Zippay Or Afterpay Addon

Posted by termalert on 21 May 2019 - 10:31 AM in Wishlist & Feature Requests

Any updates on ZipPay ? AfterPay looks to be too hard.

Why oh why doesn't CS-Cart message all Australian cart owners

and ( based on interest ) get some nominally priced add on going ?

I don't really believe that a 'have now pay later' system will send sales

through the roof but it would be nice to be able to offer an extra service to buyers.

#315336 Paypal Standard. All Paid Orders Showing As 'open'.

Posted by termalert on 14 May 2019 - 10:25 AM in Issues & Troubleshooting

Thanks Orangegirl.

It appears that the latest version of CS-Cart doesn't have this problem.

I will just wait until I upgrade one day.

Maybe not. $160 upgrade subscription is almost 1/2 the cost of a new cart.

#315080 Paypal Ipn And Google Recaptcha (Addon From Ecom Labs) Stoped Working

Posted by termalert on 06 May 2019 - 08:04 AM in Issues & Troubleshooting

Thanks EZ but I won't be tinkering without the usual hand holding

by CS-Cart support.

Orangegirl, why hasn't CS-Cart support sent notification of a new patch ?

I will wait until I upgrade one day. I am always logging in to PayPal so as

long as I keep getting order notifications and inventory decrements I will

put up with it until upgrade time.

#314998 Request For Either Zippay Or Afterpay Addon

Posted by termalert on 03 May 2019 - 11:35 PM in Wishlist & Feature Requests

Divido ( an afterpay type system which is a CS-Cart add on ) may be coming to Australia.

Are any non- Australian carts using it ?

#313690 Paypal Ipn And Google Recaptcha (Addon From Ecom Labs) Stoped Working

Posted by termalert on 27 March 2019 - 05:24 AM in Issues & Troubleshooting

This is just wonderful. The likes of myself using 4.3.9 and not having the faintest idea of how to implement fixes

( that haven't been supplied with instructions from CS-Cart ) will just have to suffer the consequences of a support team

that just can't be bothered to support olders carts. Some leaves should not be taken out of Microsoft's book.

#313566 Paypal Standard. All Paid Orders Showing As 'open'.

Posted by termalert on 22 March 2019 - 09:37 PM in Issues & Troubleshooting

Thank you for help eComLabs.

I will leave all as is for now.

There is no good reason for the process to change as I have made

no changes at all to my CS-Cart script.

#313547 Paypal Standard. All Paid Orders Showing As 'open'.

Posted by termalert on 22 March 2019 - 10:21 AM in Issues & Troubleshooting

"Do not receive IPN messages" option is enabled but this is odd because the PayPal email address

used in CS-Cart is the same used for eBay payments and I do receive IPN's for eBay payments.

If I enable "Receive IPN messages" a URL is required.

Would this be the domain name used for my CS-Cart ?

#313540 Paypal Standard. All Paid Orders Showing As 'open'.

Posted by termalert on 22 March 2019 - 08:52 AM in Issues & Troubleshooting

Cart Version 4.3.9

There has been no modification to our cart.

For the past month all PayPal paid orders are showing status as 'Open'.

I have to check for IPN's from PayPal or login to PayPal to confirm payment

and then manually mark the order as 'Processed'.

Up until this point orders would always show as 'Processed'.

Does anyone know if PayPal have changed their procedure ?

#312470 Afterpay

Posted by termalert on 19 February 2019 - 08:06 AM in General Questions

Well my heart jumped when I googles CS-CART AFTERPAY and I saw what Beads saw.

Thing is it's at the CS-CART Marketplace which I 'thought' was run by CS-CART itself.

I guess us Aussies will just have to wait and wait and wait, which may be a good thing because

once there is a proliferation of buy now pay later schemes it tends to be an indicator of a

souring economy.

#310435 Can Softwaresuggest People Be Trusted ?

Posted by termalert on 25 December 2018 - 10:23 PM in Security

Thanks johnbol1. It was possible that someone could have used my license number

to activate a cart and it might have 'appeared' that it was me doing it. I know I could

prove that I owned the license but my store could have been shut down temporarily.

Contacted support and they re-issued my license and blocked the old one.

Potential problem solved. Note to self to take care in future.
