#330356 Strange New Customer Registration.

Posted by termalert on 08 August 2020 - 10:51 PM in Security

Getting through a 5 letter captcha just to leave some junk is odd of itself.

I don't read Russian ( I think ) so maybe it's an ad for something.

I guess an ad but with no link the 'why' is unanswered as well as the registration

number gap.

#330351 Strange New Customer Registration.

Posted by termalert on 08 August 2020 - 10:55 AM in Security

Why would this guy/gal register this way ?
To test my old captcha ( CS-Cart Version 4.3.9 ) ?

There is also the registration number jump from 359 to 364

( I haven't deleted members with reg id's 360, 361, 362 or 363 ).

There is a slight date gap noticeable because I haven't used the

site for some months.

#329015 Is There An Online Credit Card Processor For Cs-Cart ?

Posted by termalert on 23 June 2020 - 11:55 PM in General Questions

I know we can do OFF line payments but is there

an on-line add on ?

#327895 Zippay - Australian Cs Cart

Posted by termalert on 20 May 2020 - 06:16 AM in General Questions

A CBA credit card holder joins Klarna and when they use the credit card anywhere they have the option

of paying by instalments. There is no need for a plug in for any web site. The web site must, of course, be

able to accept credit card payments via an electronic gateway ( not manual processing ).

#327883 Zippay - Australian Cs Cart

Posted by termalert on 19 May 2020 - 10:41 PM in General Questions

Actually Beads, any cart can accept the CBA BNPL system.

It is built in to their credit cards. Buyers just apply to the CBA

but use their existing credit card.

Developers need to come up with an approved plug in then sell it as an add on.
Given that the likes of AfterPay and ZipPay don't charge for their plug ins if

you are using Shopify or BigCommerce, the price would have to be reasonable.

Also, with AfterPay, you need to make an application and be approved by them so it's

not just a matter of simply buying an add on and  'plugging in' to their system.

This is the case in Australia.

#327335 Seeing Where My Customers In Live View.

Posted by termalert on 05 May 2020 - 10:02 AM in General Questions

The deprecated add on was called 'Statistics' and it was fun to use.

Much easier to evoke than Google Analytics.

I saw it pop up as a paid add on a few years ago.

Gone for good ???

#327332 Seeing Where My Customers In Live View.

Posted by termalert on 05 May 2020 - 09:18 AM in General Questions

I remember a live view where you could see in real time what your

visitors were doing, pages they were visiting etc.

I can't remember the name of this add on as it was deprecated long ago.

Is there a current add on that gives you a live view of customer activity ?

The Google Analytics view is nothing like the old CS-Cart add on.

#327285 Zippay - Australian Cs Cart

Posted by termalert on 04 May 2020 - 08:28 AM in General Questions

That sounds like great news but will these add ons have AfterPay and ZipPay permission ?
My understanding is that AfterPay in particular is not accepting 3rd party add ons.

I am not trying to be negative at all and really want to be able to get back to CS-Cart and give

Shopify with it's paid add ons the flick. None of Shopify's reward points 'paid' add ons have the

flexibility of CS-Cart's. Heck...you even have to pay for something as basic as a Filter.

Buying into Shopify is like buying a bloody skeleton. It's not just Shopify either. Every other

system I have tried requires a whole bunch of paid add ons to function like an out-of-the-box CS-Cart.

I hope you make our Aussie dreams come true eComLabs.

rtsMARK ....I had to go the Shopify route but would love to go back

to CS-Cart one day. Every little thing out of the box with CS-Cart is

a paid monthly add on with Shopify. It stinks.

In my experience to date, the main AfterPay customers have just

been my regulars using AP instead of PayPal.

I understand the CBA was implementing an AP style system where

CBA customers could get the AP style payment plan using their

credit card, so no special plug in required at all.

If more banks start using this system I will be moving back to CS-Cart.

#327025 Order Tracking Code For Affiliate Script

#323341 Product Preview Takes Me Straight To Home Page.

Posted by termalert on 05 January 2020 - 07:16 AM in Issues & Troubleshooting

Thanks TTapio but I am scared of tinkering. I will just do manual SEO stuff because I only have 2 products.

Again, thank you very much for trying to help.

#322551 What Would Cause html?sef_rewrite=1 in URL?

Posted by termalert on 08 December 2019 - 02:30 AM in SEO

Same thing happened to me. All my 'preview' page links plus 'preview' new products went straight to my home page

When I hovered over the preview link I would see

https://www.mydomain...te-windows.html at the lower left ( which looked weird of itself )

yet when I clicked I was taken to my home page

https://www.mydomain.../?sef_rewrite=1

All the solutions in this thread messed with my head and as I only have

3 main product lines I disabled the SEO add on and all is well now.

#322540 Product Preview Takes Me Straight To Home Page.

Posted by termalert on 07 December 2019 - 12:24 PM in Issues & Troubleshooting

It appears that some form of buginess in the SEO add on has been giving

others problems so I thought I would disable it.

All my 'previews' work now.

As I only have 2 main product lines I can manually add the SEO stuff to
them and my pages.

I will leave this haunted SEO add on disabled for good.

Crapped me off that it just went buggy out of the blue but in fairness

to CS-Cart it most likely had to do with my web host fiddling with the htaccess file.

#322416 Product Preview Takes Me Straight To Home Page.

Posted by termalert on 04 December 2019 - 08:17 AM in Issues & Troubleshooting

Version 4.3.9 Using PC.

When I clicked on edit or added a product and clicked Preview from the drop down I could
see what the product would look like at my web site.

Not any more. All I get is my home page loading.

When I hover over the preview link I can see

https://www.mydomain...te-windows.html at the lower left

yet when I click I am taken to

https://www.mydomain.../?sef_rewrite=1

In fact any attempt to 'Preview' be it products or pages takes me to my home page.

#322173 Products Not Displaying In Store.

Posted by termalert on 26 November 2019 - 04:56 AM in Store Design & Templates

Some file must have gone missing when my host tossed all my existing store

files into a folder by mistake then put them all back to root ( due to my making too vague a request ).

All fixed.

This web host really does go above and beyond.

Hello,

Thank you for contacting us.

The default rewrite rules to the index page were missing, so I have performed some research and copied the ones from this forum:

https://forum.cs-car...-file-problems/

which resolved the issue:

#322172 Products Not Displaying In Store.

Posted by termalert on 26 November 2019 - 03:35 AM in Store Design & Templates

All appears well 'finally' since my store was given a new domain name.

A few problems because I didn't configure the store ( via admin ) with

the new domain name.

Admin area now working well, store front loads and all products displaying in admin.

Just one slight problem.

All the products that were displaying before in the store are now giving me

Not Found

The requested URL was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Just discovered that no home pages links ( Contact Us etc ) are are working
and giving the same error.

I must have forgotten something but just can't figure it out.

#322123 Where Did My Cloned Theme Go ?

Posted by termalert on 24 November 2019 - 07:39 AM in Store Design & Templates

I have moved our main store to Shopify to qualify for BNPL systems.

I am going to use my old CS-Cart for another business.

Tried to change logo but couldn't.

Needed to clone the theme.

Did that following the manual now I can't find the bloody
thing in my themes area.

Shame the manual doesn't tell you what to do AFTER a clone is created.
Hang on...it does but what a load of confusing rubbish.
There are too many occurrences of manifest.json

PLUS....
Why are there 3 groups of 9 identical themes in my themes area ???

Sometimes it's hard to love CS-Cart but I still do.

#321535 Request For Either Zippay Or Afterpay Addon

Posted by termalert on 07 November 2019 - 07:33 AM in Wishlist & Feature Requests

tbirnseth.

A happy day it will be if I can come back to CS-Cart.

I could buy a great theme and heaps of 'non-monthly' add ons

AND have a much faster cart for a lot less than I am shelling out now.

Maybe banks might be stirred into action by all these BNPL schemes

and approach integration from a different angle.

#320504 Request For Either Zippay Or Afterpay Addon

Posted by termalert on 03 October 2019 - 08:41 AM in Wishlist & Feature Requests

I currently have our CS-Cart parked on our old server.

I was not happy about having to move to Shopify just to get AfterPay

but there was not much by way of choice.

All the features that are native to 'out of the box' CS-Cart are paid add ons

at Shopify. Totally crapped off but the choice was taken out of my hands.

Nice to see a  ZipPay add on has been developed but in our case Zip wanted

nothing to do with sites that sell second hand goods.

#319784 Request For Either Zippay Or Afterpay Addon

Posted by termalert on 13 September 2019 - 06:34 AM in Wishlist & Feature Requests

It all boils down to different business models.
You guarantee your merchants goods and AfterPay lays
it off on the merchant.

Apology for getting a little hot under the collar.

Wishing you all the best in these times.

While waiting on LatitudePay we have onboarded with AfterPay as they were so much easier to deal with than your mob.

#319515 Request For Either Zippay Or Afterpay Addon

Posted by termalert on 06 September 2019 - 08:14 AM in Wishlist & Feature Requests

Thanks Maclean_cherry for telling me the real reason our application was rejected.

"Hi there, it looks like this was rejected because you're selling second hand clothes online. Because we guarantee against customer disputes we can't extend it to second hand clothes."
I guess a customer purchasing a new item for an event with every intention of fabricating a return reason will be guaranteed. Good luck with that.

To anyone reading.

If you plan to use BNPL and sell second hand clothing...forget it.

This drivel at the Zippay web site should be modified.
