I agree with mazter.

You should be able to run CS-Cart on any host satisfying our requirements. However, speed leaves much to be desired. All services on shared hostings share the physical server resources (like CPU, RAM, I/O) with its neighboring services. As a result, the latency of your site depends on the one of other websites. CS-Cart is a very powerful and functional online store engine, and I usually do not recommend to use shared hostings in production.

Might I ask why your company endorses and certifies shared hosting environments if you do not recommend them. If that is the case why would any shared hosting provider go through your certification process?

Nothing personal, I just disagree with your opinion on this subject. From my experience well designed low volume does work well and does scale well. :)

In Topic: 2.2.4 Php And Mysql Compatibility

From what I recall PHP 5.4 and v2.2.x are not compatible. PHP 5.3 is as high as v2.2.x goes.

Your host should be able to allow you to select your PHP version using .htaccess or through the control panel it they use CloudLinux.

I don't think the MySQL version is an issue.

forfun, that's a bit of a blanket statement and not necessarily accurate. Low density shared hosting can work well and can scale well while a person grows their business. To the OP, have you looked at the CS-Cart recommended hosting companies?
