#267676 Update: Critical Vulnerability In Phpmailer Library. Should Be Fixed Asap

Posted by termalert on 05 January 2017 - 12:15 PM

BarryH. My cart ( 4.3.9 ) php mailer suddenly stopped sending order notifications even though the right boxes were ticked.

Maybe it was the patch or a recent upgrade but not 100% sure. Out of the blue it just started working again...lol

#267556 Update: Critical Vulnerability In Phpmailer Library. Should Be Fixed Asap

Whatever the reason for my php mailer not sending emails, it occurred after the cart was upgraded.

This is a fact. As to why I am only guessing.

#265012 4.3.3 To 4.4.10 Manual Import Problem.

Posted by termalert on 27 November 2016 - 12:21 AM

Hi guys. This time I will not spit the dummy and wipe out

my fresh install of 4.4.1 in a separate folder.
I am exporting data from 4.3.3 and importing into 4.4.1

A question.

PHP 5.6.28

4.3.3 is running at great speed but not so 4.4.1
Does CS-Cart tend to run more slowly in a subfolder on shared hosting ?

A problem with manually importing products and images.

I have only imported two files to test with.

A single product and it's images ( no features or any other data ).

Product imported OK but only the main image gets imported.

Pair type M but not Pair Type A.

All url's are correct and images all visible in browser.

#262013 Problem With Paypal

Posted by termalert on 21 October 2016 - 09:09 AM

The buyer has probably used the back button after making payment.

It can screw things up badly.

Did you have CS-Cart set to send you emails of orders placed ?

If so ..keep them because they will be your only record.

It's not the fault of CS-Cart, just the way PayPal and CS-Cart talk to each other.

We got around it by setting a landing page in PayPal settings ( at PayPal ) so

that the buyer is taken back to your store automatically.

#232015 Cs-Cart Top 6 Reasons To Choose It

Posted by termalert on 06 October 2015 - 11:36 PM

Well, I spat the dummy and started up a trial at Bigcommerce.

After years of hosts blaming CS-Cart and vice versa I just wanted

some peace. I tried it before over the years ( as well as others ) but it can't hold

a candle to CS-Cart.

Bigcommerce fell short of CS-Cart in so many ways that I decided to stay.

CS-Cart really is the best value for money that I have found out there.

#230491 Cs-Cart & Multi-Vendor 4.3.4 Released

Posted by termalert on 19 September 2015 - 03:22 AM

So....

when can I expect to see 4.3.4 in my upgrade centre.

'Refresh packages list' still revealing squat.

Not that I intend to upgrade myself.

Just wondering when I can call on my trusted new helper.

#229017 Reward Point Report.

Posted by termalert on 07 September 2015 - 02:56 AM

Maybe it's just the way my head is screwed on but I can't see an easy way

to find the total Reward Points across all users. Sure I can check each

individual customer's total usable points but I can't see a way of getting

a total for all users.

#228609 Cs-Cart And Multi-Vendor 4.3.3 Released With Upgrade Center Improvements

Posted by termalert on 02 September 2015 - 01:18 AM

Sign of the times. We all want something NOW at the cheapest possible price.

I prefer slow, steady and stable any day of the week.

Give the guys a chance to beta test the latest version.

The crew at CS-Cart are most certainly very good at what they do

when they get the time but they are not true gods.

Having said all this I would much prefer no new bells and whistles

but have the guys go for a rock solid version with a routine for examining

our server for compatibility, stability and speed.

#223386 What Feature Do You Think Is A Stand Out For Cs-Cart ?

Posted by termalert on 17 July 2015 - 01:13 PM

'Promotions' is hands down ( for me ) CS-Cart's USP.
( that's Unique Selling Point ).
It is just plain brilliant and no other cart I have ever tried
can even come close to it's versatility.
What other carts have I tried ?
Shopify, Volusion, BigCommerce, Zen Cart, OScommerce, Cube Cart,
PrestaShop, AShop and X-Cart.

#220601 Subscription License Package 3 Monthly Instead Of Annually.

Posted by termalert on 27 June 2015 - 12:36 AM

$195 for 12 months subscription license is great value but 3 monthly would make it more affordable.
How about options like $195 annually, $120 for 6 monthly or $65 for 3 monthly.

#220025 Why Exactly Was Statistics Deprecated ?

Posted by termalert on 23 June 2015 - 07:58 AM

Fair comment but Statistics was onsite and more fun. I agree that compared to GA it is most likely a toy
but I liked it. You shouldn't take toys from children...lol

#219316 Thank You To The Bug Finders And Fixers.

Posted by termalert on 18 June 2015 - 10:18 AM

I for one would like to say thanks to all those of you who help fix bugs in CS-Cart.
Mainly to those who find and report the bugs in the first place.

#208734 A Question About The New Saas.

Posted by termalert on 23 March 2015 - 11:22 AM

cakethings.
I was able to upload 500 products easily enough, and I am no expert.
I didn't try the images because I was just testing and my image folder is 1.5 gig
One problem was that product descriptions won't upload unless they are wrapped
in " ". Example Bright and red won't upload but "Bright and red" will.
I was stumped and couldn't upload descriptions because I couldn't figure a way
( using Open Office calc ) to add the " either end of the descriptions.
I did a few manually and they uploaded but had the " as part of the descriptions.

#195391 How Come Our Admin Names Are Still Being Sent To Cs-Cart ?

Posted by termalert on 27 October 2014 - 09:32 PM

Given the usual CS.Cart support forum visit cycle, I expect a response around 3rd November...fingers crossed.
I hope all is well with you tbirnseth.
