Add-On By Webkul : Warehouse Management System

Hello, Friends!
We are glad to launch the Warehouse Management System for your CS-Cart & Multivendor stores. This allows an admin and vendor to add & manage as many warehouse locations as desired. The nearby warehouse will be assigned automatically to the orders getting received at the stores as per the add-on settings provided at admin end. As, the product’s organization in different warehouses influences shipping times so it enhances the customer experience to a great extent.

Features :
-> Well integrated with CS-Cart & Multi-Vendor.
-> Functionality to create numerous warehouses at Admin and vendor end.
-> Functionality to add products & their inventories separately for the separate warehouses.

looks good. Can 1 product have 2 different warehouse supplying the same product under the same code and add stock together to get inventory.

Hi,

Thank you for your kind words.

Would like to mention that yes, Multiple warehouses can have same product with the same code. But the inventory of the products is managed separately for each warehouse & we have not added the stock together to get the inventory in this version, will do it in the upcoming versions.

Great to see this addon, as the lack of warehouse functionality has been a stumbling block.

Looking at the documentation, it seems we will need some additional functions.

Q1. Are warehouses applied to Suppliers or does this addon replace Suppliers?

Q2. Does the addon handle multiple-stores? Are the Product/Warhose set globally for All-Stores?

I feel an addon like this is going to attract many feature requests....may I suggest:

a. Warehouse Profile fields, with this data able to be included in the Supplier/Warehouse eMail notification.

i. Account Number: so the warehouse knows which account holder tocharge for the order.

ii. Text Box for Instructions. Eg, "ship to store owner if international order" or similar. actually need a checkbox for this, to insert store address as the ship-to address for defined countries...

b. Do I understand the operation of the [Action on Qty Shortage] correctly?

Is the order Split if not all products are held in stock at any one warehouse when "Select Nearest With Available" or "Select Having Maximum" is the setting?

Example

Customer location is Sydney (NSW Australia).

Customer orders

1pc Product A

1pc Product B

1pc Product C.

Sydney Warehouse (closest to customer)

10 Product A

10 Product B

Not Stock Product C.

Melbourne Warehouse (Second Closest)

Not Stock Product A

10Product B

10 Product C

Adelaide Warehouse (Third Closest)

10 Product A

10 Product B

10 Product C

Perth Warehouse (furtherest from customer)

1000 Product A

100 Product B

10 Product C

From the description I read, this addon would for [Action on Qty Shortage]:

"Split" send two consignments, costing 2x shipping costs

Sydney Warehouse fulfils

1pc Product A

1pc Product B

Melbourne Warehouse fulfils

1pc Product C

"Select Nearest With Available" 1 consignment

Adelaide Warehouse (Third Closest)

1pc Product A

1pc Product B

1pc Product C

"Select Having Maximum" 1 consignment:

Perth Warehouse (furtherest from customer)

1000 Product A

100 Product B

10 Product C

c. Is there the ability to show on customer side:

"Stocked in store" for items stocked by stores own warehouse and

"In Stock at Supplier" for items that are only available by dropship?

Ok, thats just the beginning, I hope that makes sense, There are other functions we will need... perhaps custom programming.

One suggestion at the risk of making things over complicated.

Additional functionality (optional setting) to the way a products "Availability" is displayed on the storefront .

For products that have one or more warehouse assigned

Instead of just showing Availability: In Stock

display this as Availability: In Stock at Supplier warehouse

or perhaps display Availability: In Stock at [City1,City2,City3 and City4] warehouse(s)

Similarly display the inventory qty if "Show number of available products' checked in Settings>Appearance.

eg: Availability: [City1]: 124 items, [City2]: 10 items ....

Ive seen this on a few Computer Parts websites, some of which actually show the Delivery Time estimate for the product's availability.

Regardless , Ill be grabbing this addon as soon as the P.Variations function is ratified.

More importantly,

Ive been testing the Demo site, somethings not right...

I placed a test order for product Braun 130 which as Vendor "Red Apple" and is assigned to the two vendors warehouses:

"Red Apple Deli warehouse" and "Red Apple South warehouse"

Set the status to Processed.

However the order does not show under "Warehouse Order(s)" and displays "Warehouse: No warehouse" on the order details page.

Also "Assign warehouse" function does nothing to the selected orders.. nothing happens

Also would be good to be able to assign warehouses. from the Order Details page rather than just the Orders List page.

Dear remoteone,

Thank you for your valuable suggestions. We will surely check and implement the generic features in our upcoming upgrades. For a quicker response, please feel free to share your views at support@webkul.com

Thank You!

Q1. Are warehouses assigned per Supplier or does this addon replace Suppliers?

Q2. Does the allow for multiple suppliers per product?

If not natively, but by treating each warehouse as a separate supplier?
