How hard would it be to implement a tick box option to enable to disable the backup part of the update process. Without the backup being run, the update process would be much smoother. We do all our own backups before any major changes, as most people do I'm sure. The backup part of the update process takes for ever, often times out and for the most part is just unnecessary.

It's been there since about 4.5.x or so...
